A belated happy new year to everyone here on dA. Thank you for your ongoing interest in my photography throughout the year and for all of the kind feedback, shares and features that you have offered. I hope to be able to keep on shooting this year and keep up the quality of imagery displayed. For 2013, we have a 3 week trip to New Zealand (the rest of South Island we didn't get to) and a 3 week trip to the Pacific Northwest in October as part of a work conference (serendipitously). In between there will be the usual side trips here and there.
Hope you all had a fantastic holiday season and are refreshed for 2013's challenges both in and out of photography :)

I had started to piece together that some of these lights were from trains (or trolleys or something that rides tracks). I somehow hadn’t noticed that there was a “second” lit tree, distorted as it may be. I just now realized it’s from a reflection on the track-riding thing! Brilliant capture. Simply brilliant.

Though I know they’re simple to create, I’ve always loved these long exposure pieces! The light effects produced are just amazing. This is no exception! I appreciate especially that there is a static light object to contrast with the blurs of traffic.

And :highfive: for the Pacific Northwest! I hope to be moving back there (to the Seattle region) this year and I’m super excited. Oklahoma sucks in so many ways… I look forward to real geography and nature!

I get you - in fact in one of the timelapse shots there was a reflection on the other side too but I thought that might be too much ;P

Oh yes, I would have to say it would've been. It would be interesting to see just for the heck of it (a scrap perhaps?) but as an artistic composition it would've been over the top and cluttered.
