The Annapurna Sanctuary Trail in Nepal is one of the most beautiful walks that I had the pleasure of experiencing. It goes through a vast diversity of landscapes from lush tropical jungle to barren glaciers. Over the course of 11 days' trekking, there is a total of 5km ascent and 5km descent, such is the undulating nature of the trail.
This town Pothana, lies at 1890m altitude and was our last stop before heading back to the city. The dawn cleared beautifully to light these marigolds and the distant mountains.
