Before the sisters by Dee-T Before the sisters by Dee-T
Sisters of Kintail
Scotland

This view is taken from the most easterly of the 5 sisters of Kintail looking east at the approaching ridgeline. At the time we were perched up , the cloud line was literally at our eyeline which made it appear as though we were on the roof of the world looking down. Spectacularly rugged as much of scotland is.

Color-wise, this looks far more muted than so many of your other photos. I love it. It's got this simplistic elegance to it that makes me feel at peace...

Incredible photograph, I love the composition and I particularly like that you took the time to wait for the sunlight to shine across one side of the peak (I hope at least you were patient), that really enhanced the colours and three dimensional feel of the mountain. Sometimes the best photographs come to those who take the time to think how they would like it to be :) well done! Featured in my latest journal as well.

the grandeur and beauty are awe inspiring, Dylan.
your diligence in attaining the right vantage point
and photographic skills once "perched up" are
obvious too.

Nice shot, reminds me of striding edge in the lake district. I like the way the light is scattered.

looks great, but can't help to think that the glow is only there to hide some blending problems. :(
