Lake Tekapo
New Zealand

The Church of the Good Shepherd is undoubtedly one of the prime locations for photography in New Zealand. I was impressed with the starry skies for the nights we were there but excluding the church, Tekapo is probably not in the top bracket of places we visited on our recent trip - which is saying alot considering how beautiful it is. I wanted to try to include the Milky Way with this church which ended up taking 14 vertical shots. The 5dmk3 performed very well at the iso shot (3200) and I am now confident to print these shots where before, even with the 5dmk2, many of the shots were admittedly just for fun.

Amazing work with the panorama itself and also with the postprocessing.

Have you used any GND filters or a different exposure for the foreground or is it the same exposure value as for the sky?

Thanks ;) this one was taken with no filters - the street lights were really very faint but the iso settings made it look much brighter - each frame was all one exposure (14 stitched verticals)
