Blesi & Strokkur
Geysir Geothermal Area, Iceland
This area is part of the so called Golden Circle touring route of Iceland. It is one of the most popular stop off points and is relatively close to Reykjavik. While Geysir itself is nearly dormant, it's smaller neighbour Strokkur still erupts every few minutes giving ample opportunity to take shots like this. The intense blue pool in the foreground is Blesi. A variation of this image was also recently published in April's popular photography magazine listing Iceland as one of 50 popular destinations.
As part of a project of reminiscence, I've been compiling a 'photoreel' of each part of our trip (including every single photo taken). This scene comes from the part 1 of our Iceland 'reel'Find Yourself in Iceland[Deviant Art Gallery] [Facebook] [Web Gallery]
