Petrel Cove
South Australia

It seems that whenever I make a decision to visit Petrel Cove near Victor Harbor, I'm greeted with some pretty amazing conditions. This particular morning last weekend was no exception. I thought mother nature was giving me an early christmas present but unfortunately, it cut both ways as well. After sunrise, the conditions were still amazing and I ventured to the top of the rock visible in that scene. Though I didn't fall over, a particularly vertical wave splashed water onto the 5dmk3 ( not a lot ....) and it subsequently cannot be turned out. I am hoping that some time tomorrow morning on Christmas day, it too will give me a present by allowing itself to be turned back on after drying out! Can't complain about the images to work with from the morning though and I will be super paranoid now within smelling distance of the sea.

Apologies again for the absence from dA and have yourselves all a fantastic holiday season

I don't know why but this reminds me of a painting called 'the wanderer above the sea of fog'. It looks like that sea of fog
