Panda Falls Tributary
Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve
Sichuan Province, China

High in the northern region of Sichuan, JZG nature reserve has earned its UNESCO reserve through millenia of nature carving out some of the most dramatic valleys I've seen. In late autumn when we visited, most of the leaves had fallen but some still gave an indication of the brightness the park must have been bathed in earlier in October. These falls were unamed and joined the lower section of panda falls in the Rize Valley section of the park. The image is a blend of 2 exposures and a tonemapped photomatix shot.
