What more to say about Jiuzhaigou national park. It is such a popular site to visit for local tourists yet relatively unknown outside of china. It truly deserves its UNESCO listing. These waterfalls are heavily photographed and for good reason. The lie on the right fork of the national park (Rize Valley) and are best visited early in the morning for 2 reasons : technically as the light falls onto the fall and logistically because the routing of park buses is such that the afternoons are always crowded. We found out the hard way on our first day that an afternoon visit is not a peaceful one.
