The Great Stone Chuteby ~Dee-T

This image was taken just at sunset at the beautiful loch in Coire Lagan in the south of Skye. We stayed two nights at Glenbrittle SYHA. This walk starts from the nearby Glenbrittle house and takes about two hours to get to the loch. Once there, very steep stone scree slopes head up on both sides. On the right hand side of this image is the so-called great stone chute and at its peak, Sgurr Alasdair of the Black Cuillins. I had actually scrambled 3/4 of the way up when I realised that the sun was shimmering across me so instead of heading up, I skidded down the slopes back down to the lake to take this shot. It was one of those occasions where 10mm was not wide enough as the mountains were almost vertically above us here.
