Winding Waimakiriri by Dee-T Winding Waimakiriri by Dee-T
Not far from Arthur's Pass, the Waimakiriri starts its journey downstream to the ocean. In order to get this composition, I tried shooting this from a bridge but even pre-dawn, the road was too busy with traffic shake to allow it. So there was nothing for it but to wade to the middle of the streams! Suprisingly it wasn't as cold as I would have thought!

I've also recently finished our NZ trip video (*and sydney) - here's the high res version on youtube!

I applaud your devotion to your art! I'm not sure if I would have waded out into a river to get a shot... I will also be looking at that video when I get some time because I would love to see what work goes into this sort of stuff!

I love the combination of textures and the almost mirrored paths of the water and the clouds.
